Everyday language
You will learn how to introduce yourself, and how to provide and request personal information (origin, nationality, where you live and work, phone number, family status).
You will acquire a basic vocabulary covering home, clothing, food, weights, measures and speeds, and learn how to ask and answer questions about time and opening hours. You will learn how to describe the weather, the days of the week and seasons, and how to name or ask about a particular date.
You will be able to ask the way and give basic directions as well as describe the characteristic features of a place (e.g. town, island).
You will learn to express simple requirements in requests or demands and to ask for information in everyday situations such as shopping, at the doctor’s, in a restaurant, at the train station or airport desk. You will also learn to describe your daily routine and leisure activities, talk about events in the past and express requirements.

Level A1: Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.
